i have a 2007 afton bay and it will not shut off after cool down cycle, also it does not come right on after start button is pressed. i have been away from here for sometime but i am back.

I assume that you're asking for advice...

If the stove has indeed cooled off enough, pull one wire off of the proof of fire switch. If the fans stop, the switch is likely bad. It's inexpensive, and easy to change.

replaced high limit switch and plugged stove in and the exhaust fan starts running and will not shut off. i pulled off a wire on the pof switch and nothing stove continues to run and its cold has not been started for months. i am perplexed as to what it could be. HELP

1) Why did you replace the high limit switch?

2) Where is your POF switch located?

3) Was the stove plugged in all summer?

4) Have you unplugged it for a few minutes to reset the control?

i meany pof switch. i changed out the control board (a friend had a new one and gave it to me) and low and behold all systems are a go. It works like new.

Odds are the triac that controls the exhaust blower is shorted. Easy fix if your are an electronic tech or at least know how to trace circuits, solder, and order parts via internet.
