We are building a small addition, and space is tight. Looking to come up with a tidy place to store wood under the new stove. At this point, I am leaning toward the Jotul F100, but am wondering if I could put it on one of these Rais stands. Are there any other stands that you could put under the stove? The area to be heated is about 700sf, so I don't have a lot of stoves that are that small to choose from.

Maybe I'm overly cautious but no way would I place firewood under any wood stove for any reason. Stuff happens

Ya seems like an easy way for a spark to burn your house down. There's a reason zc fireplaces have strict rules about protecting the area under the fireplace from sparks.

Storage under the stove is regionally dictated by code. For example, the Jøtul F 520 comes with under stove wood storage:

And you will note, this stove is not available in North America.....

I store wood under my Jotul F55. Started doing that last Winter. It was nowhere near a problem for a stove that requires ember protection only. I can place my hand on the glass plate under the stove and leave it there. It is only warmish. I can touch the bottom of the stove itself and not get a burn.

Check out the smaller F45. Might be just the ticket for you.
