nice! i recently bought the smaller version of this stove, any feed back on the AAS system on it? This looked like a nice feature if it works well, would make things easier for the wife when she reloads.

I didnt try the AAS yet ,i use this stove in a house im rehabbing so not a lot of experience with it yet but i like it so far.Another winner from Englander at a very good price right now. This was the first full temp burn after a few break in fires. I like to see videos of afterburn action ,my harman TL300 is the all time champ of after burn ,ill try to post some videos of that soon. That stove due to its downdraft design is phenomenal on the reburn show. I have yet to use any seasoned oak or serious hardwood in this new stove.

So how was your first season using the Summers Heat 50-SHSSW02 Smartstove Wood Stove? I'm thinking of getting that or the Drolet HT2000 High Efficiency EPA Wood Burning Stove - DB07200. Lowes price is a bit high but they will do a price match and I can find it for $1,149.97 online.

As you can see by the date the burning season was coming to a close when i got my stove. I got a nice end of year discount ,which is why i got it at all as i have several NC-30s. Just did all the breakin fires with a few 2x4 cutoffs at the tailend of the heating season. This year im planning some heavy use ,even building a brand new masonry chimney for it shortly. Ill post a video of the burn when i do a full load of wood in it.

One other thing that massive viewing door of the 50-SHSSW02 throws a ton of radiant heat, even with just a couple small wood scraps in the stove. Stove top goes right to 600 + in a very short time for 435LBs of steel .
