Major back surgery a little over 5 weeks ago, how to get wood from the back porch to the stove ? I still need my best friend to wheelbarrow from the shed to the porch, about 80'. Thank God for good friends..

Another 6 pack for your best friend who got it to the porch? With a little work, the 6 pack actually is really only 3, as you are drinking 3 with him in front of the fire. ;-)

I also like what you are doing with your walker, mobile wood cart!

Plus, think of all the physical therapy you are getting.

A neighbor of mine is experiencing progressive paralysis in his legs. He now uses his lawn tractor, riding sidesaddle, with a little trailer always in tow, to get around. He works from a sitting position. Stubborn old guy, I admire him for his resolve. Two wood stoves in his house.

Have to stay busy to stay alive, at least that's what I have observed. I am just shy of 60 and haven't begun to do everything I'd like to do.

Larch = tamarack. A weird deciduous tree with needles like an evergreen fir. It's good wood. Very dense.

Well no tamarack is a larch but not all larches are tamaracks.

So tamarack = larch but larch does not = tamarack.
