which blower,room or combustion?

Voltage tests,check for voltage to snap switch,then fan switch,then fan.Does fan spin by hand?

Did you jump the two purple wires together and see if the fan ran? Just be careful as it has power all the time, and don't short it out on the stove.kap

Replace the snap disc.

You can test the snap disc by taking it out and heating it with a lighter, If you here it click(it is closing) means it is good. Sometimes the spade connectors are not tight enough, or get a slight film on them, making a bad connection. kap

Is the snap disc tight up against the firebox housing to be able to work properly?

Snap disc #1 is the only one that runs the conv fan. Try unplugging stove, then remove and replace the control box. Then plug stove back in. Heating the snap disc and it clicks, should indicate it is good. They are cheap enough, so you can get another one if you want, to eliminate. This seems to happen often, but last resort is it could be the control box. Best way to find out is find another Quad stove that uses a 3 speed control box, you can try your control box in. Just always remember to unplug stove before installing or removing the box, or you run the risk of toasting it. If there is a dealer that has the equipment to test it you can take it there also, or they can try it in one of their stoves. I have a spare I can send you too, if you can't find another stove. kap

Hey kap- we know u da man with quad- but if jumping the wires made the blower come on, it can only be the snap disk or dirt build up on the inner side of the stove body or the switch not making solid connection with the stove body right? I've seen poor pellets not develop enough heat to activate SD#1 too, that's a hard one to explain to the customer, poor fuel was stripping too much heat on med and hi, and the blower would cycle on and off, but would run on low. Weird things..... sounds like a snap disc tho. power is always at sd1 from the control board right?? Stay warm all and have a safe holiday season.

I agree 100%, but I've seen some strange crap go on with these stoves that don't make a lick of sense. And I am no "guru" by any means. I mess up just as good as the next guy. kap

Hey porch- well they should touch (sd1 and sd2) the body of the stove but not too tight against it. There should not be an air gap in between them. Did you change SD1?? I would think that would fix it, ensuring it is against the metal body of the stove...

if it has a gap and is not to large you can fold up some aluminum foil the size of a quarter to make a shim. aluminum transfers heat very fast and very well
