lopi lid getting really hot

i have a Lopi Yanke bay stove insert. I bought it about three years ago and in the winter have been running non stop. I clean the exhaust and the stove about every ton. We go through about one ton every month.
The other day my wife and I started to smell the pellets burning inside the hopper. I went to open the lid and it was hotter than it’s ever been. Almost too hot to touch. We turned the heat down a little bit to solve the problem. Several minutes later the blower motor shut off. I removed the trim and took a quick look at the motor. There was a bunch of dust on the motor. I vacuumed it off and couple days later when it was a little warmer I blew off the dust with my compressor. The blower hasn’t shut off again but we haven’t turned the heat up to high.
This is our main source of heat. We are going through a first floor renovation with no interior walls or insulation this is the only thing that really keeps us warm. Any ideas would be a great help.

Due to the cold I was not able to take the stove all the way out and blow out everything. I plan to do that next time I have a warm day.
The motor hasn’t shut down since then but I am having trouble with over heating. The stove gets really hot. Almost too hot to touch on the cover to the hopper. We also started to smell burning coming from the stove. I believe this is caused from the same problem.
Anyone have this problem before? I have no idea where to start looking
