Is it me or are these pellets really lame this year? I seem to get tons of ash and tons of caking in my burn pot. Way more than with the Hamer pellets

I'm with ya! I am getting a hot burn, but HOLY ASH!!!!!

Using them in my Prescott full time this year. Blackish ash but no clinkers. My other pellet choice generates a lot more ash. Still can go weeks without scrapping burn pot with either brand thankfully.

This is my first year burning I bought a half ton of lignetics to test and with my experience would never consider buying them. Had to clean the stove every few bags just because my ash pan would be full. I bought a couple tons of golden fire (live in the northwest) on reviews only and have only been slightly better though. Need to research a little more this next season.

Have no clue re: Lignetics but love your dog's face and the hat. Apologies in advance if the thread gets hijacked. Couldn't resist.

My first batch that I bought in the fall had a lot more fines than the batch i picked up mid winter. Both have had great heat but I do get some build up in the pot. I scrape it daily. I will probably try hamers next year but the lignetics dealer is so much closer for me.

I've been burning Lignetics for the last five years and have had those same issues this year. I'm probably seeing 25% more ash this year and my temps have dropped off as well. My pellet supplier has started carrying EasyBlaze so I've been trying the softwoods with good results. And I just picked up their hardwood/softwood blend to test. I think I'm finished with Lignetics after this year. Something's changed!

I'm guessing they are using pine beetle chipings. What I have seen it they are not as blond color as they where in the past
