We will install a small woodstove in a ranch home for ambience and a bit of supplemental. The area heat can get to in the set-up is about 1000 sqft.
We are new to wood burning.
Our set-up will be on the small side. The whole house will be semi-tight (not near energy star or anything, but recent upgrades to windows, ceiling and more.
The chimney will run straight up, double wall for 6 ft then penetration to ceiling, then 8 ft 3" in attic and then 3 ft above ridge, for a total of 17 - 18 ft.
We are considering Jotul F3CB, F400 Castine, and outliers are a Morsoe 1410, (still cant shake my liking of it).
Also, in running an upright European style.
Anyone forsee an issue with draft because chimney is super long with any of these ?
