American harvest 6039

i have purchased an American harvest model 6039 the 4 button one not the abc model and was running great then the power went out and started reading err5 which I looked up and was an auger fuse or auger jammed or bad so I pulled everything apart cleaned all areas put a new auger in and changed the fuses but it is still reading err5 is there a way to reset the code or another reason the err5 would still be displayed? I can seriously use some help the temperature is dropping and we have no heat any advice is appreciated!

Are you using a surge protector? If not when your power got bumped you may have had a surge and fried the board. Hope that's not the case.

If not then you will need to check the auger motor and the gearbox. Those gear boxes in some of the earlier stoves didn't have much grease in them and would fail. People learned to mod them and put zerks and a weep hole so you can grease them yearly.

I had it unplugged overnight last night and still wouldn't start this morning also I changed the auger motor and fuses yesterday. How could I check the board to see if it's fried?

Unplug and pull the board out and inspect it for burnt traces on the board. If you know your way around circuits with a multimeter you could test the auger circuits. Other than that your probably need a new board

I will check into it but it is strange because the err5 message doesn't be pop up until the auger starts to run but then it comes up and goes into shutdown mode
