My log set in the Vermont Castings gas stove is sort of wearing out. Those logs need to set a certain way for the stove to operate correctly they wont any longer. Since these logs set in the fire they must get extremely hot is there a high heat cement I could use to hold these together in the correct stance?
Me being cheap the Vermont Castings gas stove again!!

I have used RTV black silicone & drywall screws (LONG ones) to repair ceramic fiber logs.
I have also spritzed them with Stove Bright Hi Temp paint to hide any flaws.
They look OK, & will hold up for a little while.
Make sure the paint is dry before you put em back in the flames,
or they will REALLY be burning...

bob stupid me i figured out i had the main log setting the wrong way. reset it now everything is good. at 77 i am ready to become a stove man

There's good reason to read those installation and operation manuals carefully.
Some gas fireplaces are quite picky about how the logs are installed, and they can be very non intuitive.
