Brand new Ravelli Francesca, brand new homeowner

Yesterday it got up to 63 degrees outside, here in MA, but I left her running at 70 power 3. (I have a tropical parrot who needs to stay warm, and i rather enjoy it myself). I came home from work and it was 86 degrees in here I shut it down, cleaned it and fired her back up before bed. Woke up to 83 degrees.
She is always feeding pellets, like every 6 seconds and is "modulating" even though the temp on the menu screen is way above what I set it at. Also, there are mornings (I get up at 3:30 a.m. for work) and its chilly though I've never altered my desired settings. I guess my long winded question is: Isn't this stove supposed to do it's best to maintain the set temp?

I have a Ravalli rv100c. The room temp probe is at the lower left back corner and it's usually off by 3 to 4 degrees so I just compensate for that when I set the temperature. I usually run at 69 or 71 power 5. The reason I run power 5 is the stove is going to go to its lowest settings when it reaches the temperature set. The only reason to run at a lower power setting is if you're watching TV maybe the blower is too loud for you but it's not loud for me. I just finished cleaning mine after 5 days optimal is cleaning at four days because the ash can at five days is at the tippy-top. How to clean your glass
