I just did the weekly ash cleaning of my Harman P35i. The burn pot was pretty full of pellets, which seemed a little weird to me. Thinking I was giving it too much thought, I turned the stove on my normal room temp 70/full fan operating mode. Within minutes there were huge flames taking up the entire firebox and covering the entire glass screen. I turned the feed limit all the way down and fan off immediately. The flames intensified, and then the fans kicked on, I assume a safety mode to help blow off some heat. It is now smoldering with the “safety” fans still kicking on occasionally. Once the flames are entirely out, I plan to scrap out the burn pot and recalibrate the with the feed limit test.

What did I do wrong (or right) here? Was this just a fluke? I’m a pretty calm person, but this made me feel a little panicky.
