I really should have stayed in school...;lol

GE is really should have stuck to manufacturing and engineering,,,not finance.

Now they are doing everything they can to not have a $6 stock. :p I happily sold mine many moons ago at $32.

GE's problem started and is ending with greedy senior management that created a widely copied predatory management style that makes their employees hate working there. Force culling 10% every year starts to cut into lean muscle after only a few years, and once you start doing that, it's only a matter of time.

Rather than focus on all things GE, what are some other amazing engineering solutions folks have seen recently that seemed impossible?

some really cool stuff. My 3 year old keeps telling me we live on mars, and I keep saying "not yet"

LOL I tried to unplug Alexa but she told me "I'm afraid I can't let you do that Dave"
it is coming to that , isn't it?

the other day we were at my sister in laws house, and my son started asking google math questions. Google responded with "mathematics is great. It helps me do things like this... [beatboxing]"

it was awesome. he then asked google if she knew siri, to which she responded "that sounds like a very nice name".

My 3yo daughter started talking to the tv remote the other day, wondering why it wasn't working. we don't have any smart speakers in our house, so I don't know where she gets it from!

Need to get a boat to much higher canal?

@Jags are some of your toys shown here?

Nope - none of those came from the Jagsworx shop.
I did put my Santa welding cap on this year. Added a snowplow to the little electric tractor. It went to a little guy on Xmas morn. His father is a hard working young man with tight finances, and a country boy. I thought this was the perfect home since all of the kids around me have outgrown it.

The feet in the pic belong to the dad of the young lad (5 yrs old)

In typical style - the plow was made with stuff laying around. The blade itself came from the inner tank of an old hot water heater. Cut, weld, chop, cut, weld some more....
With custom tire chains to boot.

Dad needs to shed a few pounds, he's overloading the trailer tires. :)

Great job on that! I need to de-stress and make more time for tinkering!
Haha - that dude is 6 ft tall and about 140 pounds. He is a twig when he stands next to me.;lol
For the record, those tires had zero pressure - he was just testing the boat seat to see if he could reach the emergency shutoff with his toes.
