I’m sure I’m posting this in the wrong place and I’m a brand new member, but this morning I woke up and it was very cold, -8°F, and started a fire in my fireplace. We have fires 1-3 times a week. We have a BIS wood-burning fireplace with the stainless steel chimney and a cap. We get it cleaned yearly. After starting the fire this morning it began constantly raining small, flaky, jet black flakes of ash from about 1/2 to 2 inches in size. Should I be worried about this? Thanks.
