There is a place near my home that I drive past twice a day that is really run down. A couple of weeks ago, I got a call from the owner asking if I could remove some trees. The owner doesn't live in the place and is cleaning it up to sell it. I found a small barn that had four or five trees fall on it. The uprooted a couple of years ago during a storm. The good news is that the wood is off the ground is not rotting. It's going to take some work to clear the branches but there is a lot of wood - mostly cherry. It is good to be known as a guy who is always looking for more firewood. IMG_20190126_161115067.jpg

I'm glad that I noticed the wire wrapped around this trunk before I started cutting. The tree was starting to grow around it.

My son and i were stacking up some wood yesterday.. he found a large cherry split with some barbed wire in it. Thankfully we where gloves and nobody has been stuck by it, nor ran a sae into it.. gotta watch sometime...
