Bingo.
The kicker is I was thinking my 7 year old daughter threw something in it. Turns out it was my wife. She was trying to shred our old credit card but she couldn’t because of the metal in them. So she came up with the great idea of burning them.

It’s an Amazon Prime VISA by Chase

I have the same stove, thought it was the bypass plate.

Tell the missus that plastic does not belong in a wood stove. Use metal shears to cut up metal cards.

I am glad you guys had fun. @Pertzbro like I said before I take the whole plate and dumper assembly out once a year for a flue clean up there is nothing there other what you will see in the parts diagram.
@TWilk117 we have to figure out how I can get that beer to you.@begreen my wife is off today and she texted me that she loaded the stove I am afraid to ask what did she put in it.

Now I'm imagining a bio-brick of shredded credit cards. Probably OK, if a little stinky with a tube stove, but your cat stoves are going to suffer.

Stupid question, but are you sure they werent just embedded in the wood? I have found a weird piece of metal and some nails that the tree must have grew around in my firebox and i never noticed them in the splits
I've had deer stand screw in foot pegs show up in the ash before.

I am sure my wife admitted to it. You are right about weird stuff in wood. I killed a chain on my chain saw when I hit a big bolt which was deep in the trunk.

One the most fun posts ever!!

No duct tape. They come in bottles and cans.
