Does anyone know if a pellet stove Tsat exists where I could start my pellet stove with an app from a remote location?

If we leave town with a cold stove and a full hopper..... would like to fire up the stove about 6-8 hours before getting home so the place is nice and toasty.

Does this exist?

The easiest way..a smart controlled outlet would do the trick.. such as a wemo ..etc

The right way.. a smart thermostat interfaced properly to your stove

do you have to push a button for the stove to start? if so your going to have to make an interface to remote a connection on the control board to start it then wifi it to your home control.

Nope. Looks like I will go with a digital timer on the plug. Don’t have Alexa or similar device. I f we head outta town returning Sunday for example we can use that instead

What is a digital timer going to do? You still need to hit a button on the stove to turn it on. Get a wifi thermostat that you can control with your phone and turn down the heat to the point the stove will not turn on and turn it up on the way home

No App to run wireless control from phone but for a pellet stove this unit works very well, 7 day programable with 4-5 temp/time adjustments during the 24hours, and you can adjust the swing temp ratio which is a must, and put a large gap on the swing temp for pellet stoves so it really heats up then turns down to idle depending on pellet stove of course.. https://www.amazon.ca/LuxPRO-PSP511...1187&sr=8-1-fkmr0&keywords=lux+pro+thermostat

A Bixby will do that but it has it built into the control board and you need a cable, laptop and Bixcheck to make it work. Basically you contact the laptop with a different computer or smart phone and you control the stove that way. You can do it with the stove off or it idling like a pilot light.
Not sure if any modern stoves have this capability.

If your stove uses RW wiring, then you just need a thermostat like an Ecobee 3 and a 24 volt transformer to power it. That is the way mine is connected and I can start it from the Ecobee app from my phone.

If your stove works anything like mine, your idea spell disaster. When the timer shuts off power the exhaust fan is not working. The stove will fill with smoke and leak into your home.
