SBI makes that stove and makes others, Drolet, Osburn... Have been using the fw3000 this past winter. The stainless steel tubes are thick, not cheap, and the same ones used in more expensive SBI stoves. And the design is well thought out as the tubes twist to unlock and slide out. No pins, screws... to break. It drafts easily with only a 12ft min chimney height, measured from stove top,is required.

For us, the fan is used often. I think that $500 deal does not include fan. Our house is all tile floors and adobe walls which absorb the radiant heat up. Using the fan to distribute convection heat works best for us. ymmv

It's SBI's least expensive value line and a decent stove. That's a good price.
