Anyone know what this is? Have a guy about 1.5hours away selling it with the chimney pipe for $400 or so. Looks like an old princess model as far as I can tell. Waiting on interior pics still. Thanks. upload_2019-3-5_9-19-14.jpeg upload_2019-3-5_9-21-27.jpeg

It's really old but looks good on the outside. I don't see the label on the back so it may not be a certified stove making it illegal to buy, sell, install, or even give away in my state. Scrap.

I thought I read that BK still sells a lot of solid no-glass doors to that portion of the population that refuse to trust the glass.

I heard that here as well.

Has this been repainted? Is there a UL label on the stove?

This sure made me homesick for my old Blaze King Princess stove. There is supposed to be three ceramic pieces on the front, one on the door and one on each side of the door. You can see the holes that hold the trim on. It is an early model Cat stove. When I bought mine (in 86) they had a choice either way. To get the cat out of it you went in through the firebox.

Unfortunately there are no pics yet of the back plate and no interior pics. Still waiting.

He had a guy already coming by (just posted a few days ago on craigslist) to look and maybe buy so he’s not too worried about sending me more pics just yet till he knows what this person is going to do.

I’ve texted. Waiting on him now.

Thanks for the input so far.

SOLD! Went too quick. 3 days on CL and just hours after I found it. I was too slow. Oh well.

It was either a PEJ1001 or PEJ1000.

The early cat Princess model had a "lifting bypass". If it's a PEJ1000, it would have 4 air tubes and a 5.66" diameter cat. It was the first "hybrid" sold by our company in 1983. If no air tubes, then it's a PEJ1001.

Solid doors are popular with Amish communities and those that don't wish to see a fire. No in huge demand, but nonetheless, available.

You should try helping someone that’s struggling to burn properly that has a solid door... it’s tough. It didn’t help that they didn’t read the manual or listen to anything I told them when it was installed. When they ask “whats that little dial on the back do?” You know you’ve got problems!

I've seen a few of those on the Buying Alaska shows, they seem pretty popular in Alaska.
