As bholler suggested, skip the DuraPlus and go with DuraTech

I would also plan on having to make a run for something in the middle of the job.

Maybe a couple times.

Any time I try to get absolutely everything needed for a job on hand prior to starting it - well, it never works.

But if this is a pro installer, he should be able to cover the small stuff. If he's good.

I hope you have had your wood split and stacked for at least a year.

I am a home owner and not a professional, but I did stay at a holiday inn express one time - I just went through my new build 4:12 pitched roof last week - for our county (Clermont Ohio), I needed a firestop through the ceiling that had an air gap around the flue pipe and a thimble to keep the insulation away from the flue pipe. I was then required to built a box around the thimble from the attic floor to the roof line to prevent insulation (think blown-in insulation) from touching the thimble or flue pipe. I put a collar around the flue at the top of the thimble(double protection from insulation) before building the box from ceiling to inside roofline. On the roof, I cut an oblong hole to go with slope of the roof and ensured it was at least 2 inches bigger that the 9" outside diameter of the flue (with the flue plumb). I then used a flue vent roof flashing, that I gingerly slid under the shingles (after gently pre-prying the singles up and removing a few nails). I then twisted in the flue pipe to its mate from the roof (the connection was in the living quarters and not in the attic (so there is no flue joint in the attic)). I then nailed the flashing in place with as few nails as I could, put the storm collar on the flue and then used a small bead of high heat silicone to seal the collar to the flue. I then put the flue cap on the pipe and put roof tar from a caulking gun on every nail head - I also installed a flue bracket brace to protect against high winds.
