Hi guys

Unfortunately I have ot been active on the forum for a couple of years (and I'm back). That's a story for another day.

Just an FYI, a good friend of mine passed yesterday. His name is Laurent and he is a forum member (Laurent.Cyr). In fact, I met him on this forum!! We noticed through our conversations that we worked in the same line of work and had the same employer.

A few years ago he told me, on a private chat via this forum, that he had pancreatic cancer. Over the past 5 years we became great friends. He passed away last evening after a long hard battle. He was surrounded by family and I will ensure they will keep burning in his awesome Jotul stove.

RIP my friend.

Andrew

Rip. May your firewood be dry and well stacked.

Sorry for the loss.

It is part of life, albeit an unpleasant part.
That said, it shows that people on this forum can forge bonds!

Indeed..may his new world be filled of dry stacks of white oak. He loved his stove!! He was burning in it the weeks leading up to his hospitalization.

Cheers

Sorry to hear about this, Andrew. I remember him, from just a few years back.

It's good to see you back here, but I'm sorry it's under these circumstances. Grab a beer, pull up a chair, welcome back.
