Was looking at a stove someone has for sale and wondering if anyone knows it and or can provide a link on its specs. It is a Drolet and pretty sure it has HT on the stove but it only has one area for venting where the HT2000 has two. Is it an earlier version or another model no longer made? Wasn't sure the age so didn't post in the classic stoves chat. Pic attached. Thanks.

Looks like it may be a Drolet HT-1600. It may not be that old, discontinued fairly recently. Is there a mfg. date on the label?

I did not know they had an HT 1600..i may have gone for that one instead. the HT2000 sounds too powerful but also reading thoses with 1,200 -1,300 sf home onwers still satisfied and not over heating their homes.....I have a 1,100 sf home and looking at the HT2000

Thanks, I looked at those but the firebox are small on both but the Kodiak is even smaller with less then 2cu in size. I have a Fish mama or papa bear I forget...but its in the extra large capacity... over 3.0 cu..it does ok but I have to reload after a few hours and unless I catch it on time, there is no coal left to restart another round....its like restarting from the beginning all over again....if I choke it down a lot, the temp will start off at 500 but will quickly drop to 300 and that takes half the day or more to warm up my home....the reload is the pain and the length of time in heating my second floor is the worst at those temps....at 500 - 600 it starts really nice but does not last long enough to heat the second floor rooms..

Thanks, I looked at both stoves but they have small firebox size and the Kodiak is even smaller - less then 2cu in size. I have Fisher mama or papa Bear - I forget which. its a large capacity of over 3.0 cu. it does ok but the heat out put fluctuates too much...it starts off nice in the 500 but then drops like a ball to the 300 range when I choke it for longevity....at those temps, it takes over half the day to warm up my second floor and more if really cold out. the pain is in the constant reload from scratch because there is never enough coal to restart another fire if I miss the coal window time frame. its a drag after a few years and even more when my wife complains that its cold and the house is in the low 70's..lol..
The PE Super is 2 cu ft and has a good long burn time. If the house is only 1,100 sq ft it sounds like it is losing heat rapidly. Addressing the heat loss could pay off quickly.

yes I was looking at this PE SUPER 27 AGAIN....looks like a nice stove in addition to keeping some coal for a restart in the am along with a long burn time...thanks again for the suggestion...
