Can someone tell me what the restrictor plate looks like or where it is so I can determine if mine has it?

It's hard to find pics, some of the threads for the CI2600/HI400 are very long. Just by loosening the two bolts you can pull the plate out.

Thanks for the reply but where am I looking for the plate? Under the firebrick in the firebox? I’m not finding a thing.

Front of the firebox by the door, center. You will feel two bolts, may need a mirror to help you locate them.
Ok so I have the two bolts. Does that mean I have the plate? Sorry for the ignorance

Hard to say. Loosen the bolts, and see if you can pull the plate up. It will slide up if the bolts are loose.

Ya I started down that thread and plan to get it all read but I wanted to address that part immediately and get it installed before fall so I posted for a quicker answer. It’s going to take awhile reading all that.

All above the firebrick. Take off the 2 bolts, remove everything that comes loose, and take pictures of what you have. You should have 2 bolts, a small metal piece, the restrictor plate, and the large metal piece.
To narrow down postings, go to that thread, then do a search for restrictor plate and select the 'search in this thread only' option.
Just got the chance to look at it, is this the restrictive plate i need?
