Up until a few years ago I still had pictures of that particular incident - no idea what my sister did with them. likely just died of old age . Crawl out second story window , find edge of roof, dig down to front door. Only thing that had a chance of moving any distance was horse and sleigh.

The way this year is going, I probably won’t have my first fire until December. Central VA has been dry and hot for months. I think we are looking at another week of mid 90’s which easily exceeds 100 in the sun with humidity.

While I appreciate your sentiment, I would advise people not to tempt fate. These are the comments that result in blizzards with 24” of snow in October.

While I’m prepared for such an event, I’m certainly not ready.

Last week some maples were getting some red up north, lows down to 46. Down by me some of my sumac is turning red, lows down to 51.

It was 38 when I got up this morning! Definitely an early fall feeling the last few days and with bear season starting in a week, autumn is knocking on the door!

Who here is like me? I always start checking Alaska's weather this time of year to see the winter weather advisory's and storm warnings and track them as they sink further and further south... maybe I'm a nut lol.

My wife is like this. I barely even check any weather service.

Started looking at the early forecast for the 2019-2020 winter season. Generally looks like east the Mississippi, upper Mid-West, Great Lakes and North East should be below normal temps and normal to above normal precip. We'll see how that shakes out.

I thought you drove Miatas?
Indeed. The top down decision making is the same as a Jeep. If nothing will be ruined, the top is down. The top goes up in seconds with a Miata, this isn't a patio awning. Miatas also aren't priceless exotic cars either.
