Feeling the Heat

I have 6 taco zone valves, each with three wires on top, and when a zone calls for heat 24V gets passed down to open the valve. I'd like to add little red led light to each zone so that from a distance (in the dark cellar), and I can tell which zones are open and which are not. I suspect its simple thing to do, but is there any problem with this? Anyone else doing this and have a specific part number/website to order from?

Finding 24VAC lights will be a challenge. Lots of 24VDC out there.
Are you using the end switch?
If not you could run DC power through the end switches for a more common type of bulb installation.

I also installed the 110VAC version in the wiring box of my circs, so when the circ is "on," a bright pilot light shows on the wiring case.

Great idea on the pilot lights by the way. I'm thinking when it comes time for me to build my house I'm going to make a diagram showing the layout of the system complete with indicator lights and temperature monitors.
