Hello

This is the time of year to sweep up under the empty Pellet Pallets !

So to keep the Pallets longer and make them look better, Does anyone Paint their Pellet Pallets ??

Obviously, When I buy more pellets, I just stack them up on these same pallets.

LOL,

Does your wife stay up nights thinking up things to keep you busy?

LOL

No she does not Smokey, but I have 2.5 tons of your Maine's Choice coming Tuesday so this is my only chance!
The Pallet is from my friend that delivers 3,000lb printing presses for work so it is a HEAVY Duty one!
It will be holding 1.5 tons very soon!

Two of my local bank tellers just paid $700 for a their monthly oil fill so I thought I better get the Pellet fill for all next winter for only $525

Wow pellets save Money$$$ big time this year!!!!

I fit 1.5 tons on each of my pallets in the basement as well. They would probably hold more if I could stack the bags higher. And no, the pellet pallets are not painted!

Some stenciling or pin striping would add a nice finishing touch.

That project is WAY down on MY 'honey-do' list. I stack them on the floor with 7 to a layer so pallets won't work. Just fortunate that there's no water in that area or they would be on pallets.

Personally, I like the look of natural wood pallets. And the light rough cut hemlock slats accent the darker oak frame nicely.

Hello

Last spring I got water percolating up thru the floor in my basement and garage when the rains came and the snow melted. This year can be worse!! Luckily they Re-Built the bridge at the end of my street last summer so more water will flow under it!!!

See before and after pics below!

Hello DMZX

Well maybe a good wood stain would be nice?

I put carpet on my pallets so they don't rip the bags. lol

I use home heating oil as a combo preservative and red wood stain. JK.

Even if I had the time to paint the pallets and even if I were so anal that I found it appealing or necessary, I would probably never want to admit to anyone that I painted them.
But I am not laughing at you because that would be rude. They do look gorgeous.

Don, You definetly like to tinker(an seem to have too much free time!). If you run out of things to do? You could stop over and finish my so many unfinished projects. hehe :)

Right down to the last detail, Nice job.

Thanks Jay

Well it is all part of fixing up the basement that we have not done in 20 years. LOL Before the pellet stove we could not use the basement in the winter because no heat!! LOL My wife does not want anything that does not match! So I used some of the paint for the knee wall shelf on the pellet pallets! Problem solved!!

I do like the idea of carpet and pin stripes but I will make due for now. :) Thanks

Also since this was posted at 5:30 pm yesterday 435 people looked at it in approx 24 hours!! LOL

The paint I am using here is new to me. High Gloss Metal & Wood Latex Enamel. Wow it works great and easy cleanup too!!!!
