Other Information about the Home and Stove
Room Size (Sq ft): 400 | House Size (Sq feet): 2400
Bought in 2001 , Price Paid: $2200
Location : Oley, PA 19547, USA
Purchased from: Fireplace Retail Store - KC Coal & Heating (Alburtis, PA)

Likes: Compact, attractive looking stove. Extremely easy to operate and maintain. Generates significant amount of heat for a small stove. While designed to heat up to 1600 sq ft it keeps our 2400 sq ft Cape Cod very warm (stove is centrally located on first floor).

Dislikes: Because this stove has an auger feed you sometimes get a crunching or cracking sound from coal getting caught by the auger.

Comments: When we first got the stove it did not work properly. Problem was a bad combustion blower which wasn't sending nearly enough air to completely burn the coal filling the ash pan with partially burnt and unburnt coal. Dealer was great but manufacturer was mediocre. When you called the manufacturer if a person actually answered the phone they were always helpful but if you got a machine they rarely returned phone calls or responded to e-mails. Would highly recommend a HARMAN stove but purchase from a reputable dealer who has been certified by HARMAN as a technician so you'll have somebody local who can come out and work on the stove if you have a problem.
