Likes: Looks. Flush front design does not detract from surround or hearth, both being granite. Installation was fairly straight forward. Dual air control gives excellent burn control. Unit seems to heat well and burn clean. Glass stays clean.

Dislikes: Fan a bit noisey. Small firebox.

Comments: I installed this unit into a second fireplace to assist an FPX 44 Elite with heating chores for second floor on extreme cold days. After I got over the "nay sayers" on installing any insert into a prefab. all went well. This is the smallest Quad insert and installed easily. It looks great, burns well, and throws a lot of heat. I installed the blower just to keep heat down within firebox of prefab.(still paranoid?) The blower gets the heat out from insert into room but is a bit noisey running wide open. Guess I'm spoiled with the remotely located Elite blower. The Quad firebox is small, but it's a small unit. I like the way the fire burns in Quads. So far I am pleased with this unit. Only wish I had installed sooner.
