Likes: Holds a HARDWOOD fire very long time. Can ignite fire with few ashes left by opening the damper wide open fanning the coals. Nice even heat, pretty to watch the fire. First class hardware. Great ash pan tray.

Dislikes: Takes long time to heat up. Very heavy unit (need two men and a mule to move it)

Comments: I am very happy with my unit. Use it to heat my old log cabin and tho it takes several hours to heat the place up, once it does get warm, it does a very nice job. Will hold a hardwood fire for up to 8 or 10 hours if shut down to lowest setting. Nice glass door is wide and easy to load and doesn't smoke with straight up pipe (no damper) seems to have some high tech smoke filter which reburns the smoke and therefore there is little outside smoke coming from the chimney. I burn Maple, birch and some connifer. Soft woods obviously burn quicker. Nice even heat and I would recommend (I will buy another for my new house in the woods)
