The stove looks really nice.
The firebox is fairly large.
The unit appears to be very well built.
It's a bit difficult to control a fire with really dry wood. Doesn't allow you to shut the airflow down enough sometimes.
Overall, I am very pleased with the insert. We heated our very old 2700 square foot house entirely with this unit for a while. The closer rooms were into the low 70s with rooms farther away in the low 60s or lower on really cold nights. Additional heat is needed to keep all the rooms around 70. We are in VT so we have some cold nights.
The glass stays nice and clean as long as you don't load wood right in front of it, even with the airflow turned way down. The trick is to allow the air to flow past the glass at all times I think.
I have noticed that burning extremely dry wood can be tough because it just burns really quickly even with the airflow turned down.
The dealer that we worked with was fantastic. I highly recommend the Chimney Dr. in Putney, VT. He was straight forward and got the job done when he said he would.
