Likes: Predictable warmth, reasonably quiet, easy to use, easy to install, very low ash. You can put these just about anywhere and anyone who is reasonably handy can self install.

Dislikes: Needs a lot of ongoing work and maintenance. Good pellets can be hard to source (Blazer\'s are the best) Start up is a little noisy (it whistles) Pretty Pricey. Not truly independent (unit needs AC power)

Comments: My first choice was gas but those units can be expensive also and running the gas line would have been a big problem. We needed heat in our bedroom which has exterior walls on three sides. This unit does the trick. I built a raised tile hearth and vented right through the wall. It was easy. My wife absolutely loves our stove. It come on every evening just before bedtime and it is our alarm clock every morning (this is a good thing). We have it connected to a programmable t-stat. If you have a remote application and don\'t mind a little daily work, this is a good way to go. Creates a pleasant and very subtle real wood smell as along with flickering light from the fire.
