US Stove\'s King 1851 30,000 BTU stove is perfect for my small house, and the configuration (narrow and long, rather than wide and shallow) is better-suited for my corner installation.
With no intake control, the stove is very simple to use--simply leave the door cracked open until the fire has reached a sufficient level, close the door, and simply use the flue damper.
This stove burns extremely well--yes, part of that has to do with the length of the chimney, burning proper wood, and letting the fire get hot enough before loading up the stove--but the lack of un- and under-burned wood tells me that this stove burns very efficiently.
Also, the air wash intake keeps the glass very clean.
The simplicity is a bit of a drawback, I suppose--control over the intake would be nice, but the intake of this stove is well-designed enough that it burns extremely well even without this.
Also, it would be nice to have a stopper for the door handle. As it is, the door handle can rotate 360 degrees, which means that it will simply hit the ash tray if you\'re not paying attention when you shut the door. Just be aware, and it won\'t really be an issue--but it would be nice to not have to work around such a detail.
