Likes: I couldn\'t be more pleased with this unit. First of all its a beautiful addition to the room. Secondly I use it as a primary heat source, so efficiency and high quality workmanship are very important to me. Originally being rather old school, I had a difficult time getting a handle on weather or not to go cat or non cat. I am glad now I chose the catalytic. Burn times are long - 6, 8, 10 hours or MORE for a single load of wood depending on just how cold it is for and how hot you\'re burning it. There\'s always a nice hot coal bed which easily ignites your next load of wood. Additionally the soapstone is out of this world! Not only is it the thing that really sets the stove off from others, but it really does hold and radiate heat for a long period of time, if or when you let the fire die out. Ultimately I believe it really adds to the overall efficiency of this unit. I gotta say I love the glass on the front of this too, (\"Fireview\" after all!) very cozy watching it burn when its colllllld out there. Dealing direct is nice n old fashioned too and I love it! Its the way it used to be and still should be in my opinion. No stinkin midde man or goofy salesman. You will find the staff at Woodstock extremely friendly, professional, helpful and knowledgeable. Personally it says something to me about a company that doesnt wish to ship only to dealers and than cant be found if ever there is a problem. I originally discovered this stove and manufacturer right here on, which THANKFULLY in the end saved me much time, money and headaches. I heat my whole home from roughly Nov to Mar or April-ish for maybe $400 total. Its a good warm heat too..I like to keep it around 75-80. Take that oil burners! lol

Dislikes: absolutely none, simply read and follow your instruction manual. Learn to operate catalyst and stove correctly. Follow directions and enjoy the warmth and savings $$ : )

Comments: Safety first, keep that chimney, ideally chimney liner, clean. Maintain your investment. This manufacturer is truly a TRIBUTE to the good ol fashioned MADE IN USA!
