Likes: Well built and attractive wood stove. Extremely easy to light, run and control. Heats up quickly. Could easily re-kindle fire from hot coals in the morning. Blower is relatively quiet compared to other wood stove brands we tested while shopping. The blower really pushes the heat out of the stove.

Dislikes: The front edge of the blower vibrated against the bottom pan of the stove. Easily fixed by placing a hard fiber washer between the blower edge and bottom pan of stove.

Comments: Wood stove was purchased new and professionally installed by Chimney Sweep 2 in our 1979 ranch style home with average home insulation. Stove was used for one season (Oct 2011-April 2012), burning 2.5 cords of mixed hardwood, air dried for 6 months. We used A.W. Perkins Co. "Break-n-Burn" fire starters (one square) to get the wood burning. The Lopi stove blower provided faster heat transfer from the stove to the home and is highly recommended for a home of this size (we let the fire burn out over the night). It kept the house at a comfortable 68-72F on the coldest days and evenings (0-10F) with a medium fire. We heated about 1600-1700ft of the house, closing doors of infrequently used rooms. Our chimney sweep said the stove pipe was clean for the amount of wood burned. The smoke level was low compared to our neighbors (virtually invisible). We had no "smoke backs" anytime during its use. Our chimney has a new 6in diameter stainless steel liner. My wife has about 15 years' experience with wood stove heating between northern California and Vermont, and this is the best wood stove either of us have used.
