Likes: After 10 years of use I can say it's a beautiful stove with a decent size firebox and fairly long burns. If you leave some ash in the stove we always have enough coles to keep to get it going in the morning by just adding wood. That is 8 - 9 hours later. If you want to keep the stove in the 'burn zone' (over 300 degrees) you will be adding wood every maybe 3 hours. Probably a great stove for the casual burner as the cons will show!

Dislikes: This stove is simply NOT built for a heavy user. I burn about 15 face cords of wood per year and after 10 years the baffles and pipes are totally disintegrated. Regency's 'lifetime warranty' is bogus as they just say that you "did not maintain the stove." I have a 2400 insert as well and it is the same story. Only with that I bought used so did not try the 'warranty.' I will be trying Pacific Energy for the main stove as the Vista I have in our garage is great.
