Other Information about the Home and Stove
Room Size (Sq ft): 289 | House Size (Sq feet): 2400
Bought in 1998 , Price Paid: 1300
Location : Prospect, CT 6712, USA
Purchased from: Fireplace Retail Store - fireplaces & stoves by s

Likes: -more btu output than existing steel stove (same size) -longer burn time -nicer appearance, excellent fireview -easy stove for yearly tune-up -best stove on the market to use on a raised hearth installation -probably one of the few stoves that are compatable with a pre-fab fireplace (clearance & dimensions)

Dislikes: -small ash pan (can't go longer than 2 days without dumping) -not as airtight as expected, (could be a smokey startup if in a cold reverse draft situation) -ash pan cannot be reinstalled if ash is in the pan holder space

Comments: Once the owner understands the characteristics of the stove, the stove is very easy to operate. If the outside temperature is below 20F, you will still need the furnace to run a couple of times a day to supplement the heat from the stove (referring to 2000 sq. ft living space). I have a very limited raised hearth installation that this stove works perfectly. I would recommend this stove to everyone to consider buying.
