Other Information about the Home and Stove
Room Size (Sq ft): 300 | House Size (Sq feet): 1500
Bought in 1996 , Price Paid: dont know
Location : Mount Joy, PA 17552, USA
Purchased from: Fireplace Retail Store - Palmyra PA

Likes: Start it and walk away conveinance. Thermostat regulated self feeder. All I have to do is feed the coal and empty ashes every 4 or so days.
High BTUs. Heats my whole bilevel house except for back two bedrooms.
Sometimes pain in the but to get coal started with kindling (but thats coal for yah : )

Dislikes: Blowers a bit noisy and they could be more efficient, which somewhat defeats the purpose of using an alternate heating source for the $. Still it saves me money versus the baseboard electric which is throughout my house.

Comments: Purchased my home in 1999. The stove was already here from original owner. I use rice coal, Blaschak. Burn nearly two tons per year.

I wish the sides of the stove were fabricated with the blower mechanism in conjunction with the top of the stove. More heat could be leached from the stove and pushed out this way making the unit more efficient.
