Likes: The Oslo is a good match for our house, both in heat output, convenience, and looks (green enamel). It fires up quickly, as long as lots of newspaper and kindling is used. We burn mainly alder and fir, which does the job in the temperate coastal area where we live. Burning hardwood would greatly raise the stove's heat output. The sideloading door is great; haven't had the front door open for weeks. Nice display of the fire compared to the permanently coated door glass on the Fisher catalytic the Oslo replaced.

Dislikes: None so far. Even the premium price isn't too steep for an item we'll have for a decade or three.

Comments: Jotul, as usual, designed and built this stove right. It's sure nice to be away from the extra attention and expense a catalytic stove entails. The installer also did a fine job.
