This unit can put out heat. Of course, you need to have the blower fan running to spread the heat. It was relatively easy to self install. Nice look when installation completed.
Dislikes:
Our unit can smoke when the weather conditions cause a down-draft. This could be a problem unique to our house. However, once the heat and flame build up then there is no smoking problem. The C160 has a small firebox which limits the amount of wood that you can place into it and the ash needs to be removed nearly once a week. Nevertheless we are still able to get it to burn thru the night with hard woods.
Comments:
Other than the issues already meantioned there are no problems with the unit. We have enjoyed the warmth, the attractiveness, and the low heating bills. But we have spent plenty of time gathering wood and stoking the fire.
