Likes: Very efficient and emissions seem low. Heats the entire house from its basement location. Looks good.

Dislikes: Air control is impossible to adjust precisely or repeatably. Won't hold as much wood as you'd think due to low headroom. Factory paint doesn't hold up under heat. Takes a long time to come up to operating temp. Door latch design needs a jam nut.

Comments: The Liberty replaced a wood furnace unit here, and requires much more frequent feeding and adjustment. Added an extra jam nut to the door latch to prevent loosening and stress on the door glass. Be sure to lube hinges and latch with "anti-seize" compound to prevent wear. Use a stove thermometer to avoid overfiring. It's very important to split kindling and correctly stack the load for a good burn. A great stove, but with a few quirks for the user to understand and master. I don't have the blower, but it would be a nice addition if it weren't so darned expensive!
