Stove looks great, all cast iron. I vented with the top vent adapater to 6" stove pipe, with this option it looks just like a wood stove.
Room distribution blower squeeles when running above medium speed, and did so when it was installed new. Installer said wait and see if the sound goes away. After two weeks of squeel, I called and they replaced it with a new blower. They also said this is not the first one of this model to have this problem. This new one also squeels, now waiting for them to come up with a fix, probably another new blower (hope that one doesn't squeel). It's been two months now (xmas 05').
I had a 94' Whitfield Advantage for ten years without one problem. It did not have the auto start function (the old rotary board) and I didn't care for the tin can look, so I made the big decision to buy a new pellet stove with all the automatics, and did alot of research. I felt very comfortable with choosing Harman because I heard good things about them, and liked the XXV style. I just wish they would have done a little more quality control on the one I got. The stove so far work great, as long as I don't turn the blower up past medium and get the squeeling noise. As far as the dealer trying to take care of this issue, they have been awesome and highly recommend them. I think the only fix is for Harman to send the dealer blowers that don't squeel, and do more quality control on the components they purchase.
