Excellent quality, worth every penny. Steady, even heat. Gorgeous, but tough enough for roughing it if you need to.
Dislikes:
Horizontal bars limited size of pan for cooking. But I was able to order extra soapstone to raise the cooking surface above the bars. Was still hard to boil water quickly. Not a problem that comes up too often though.
Comments:
This stove got us through the January ice storm. Our power was out for 9 days. We melted ice for water, cooked on the stove and kept the house heated with this little stove. There was no sun for 2 weeks, not extra heat from lights or appliances and temperatures in the single digits. Inside temperatures never went below 50 degrees at night and 65 during the day. This stove was a life saver.
