Likes:
Very efficient; easy to fire, burn, maintain; very helpful and cooperative dealer and manufacturer; reasonable instructions in manual and very good dealer/manufacturer help to self-install; high quality construction, fit and finish.
Dislikes:
Additional water storage is a key to the great ease of use this boiler offers, more emphasis on this point would be helpful; additional water storage can be expensive. Requires more than one wood load per day with lower temperatures (winter temps 20'sF to -30'sF typical for north central MN).
Comments:
Replaced traditional water jacket OWB with indoor install for the Solo Plus 40. In comparison, I am about as pleased with the outcome as possible and in fact more than I expected. There is a learning curve to realize the potential of and achieve the satisfaction with the boiler which I have. Heating a wood-working shop, not a house, but this boiler clearly has capacity to heat far more than 800 sq ft.
