First impressions of a unit bought to replace a poorly made Vermomt Casting's 'Encore'.
A red enamel coated steel firebox on pedestal. Looks fabulous, solidly made and exudes quality.
Lights unbelievably easily, chucks out heat.
Huge ash pan.
Strong air wash of the door glass.
It is early days but this unit comes well recommended by many and I really don't think there will be any 'cons'.
If I do find any in the future I will re-post, but don't hold your breath.
The difference between this and my previous stove is immense. This unit is solidly made, the door closes reassuringly snugly, super enamel finish, everything fits like you would hope and expect. No more worries whether the catalytic converter is working, you can see what is happening in real time by looking through the glass of the door.
I do understand that I may be more vocal than I may otherwise be because of the awful nature of the previous stove, but this really is a class item.
