Likes: Large firebox
Variable blower that is adjustable from high to almost nothing
Very large viewing area
Soapstone firebricks
Pumps out a ton of heat

Dislikes: Reostat malfunctioned after about 3 months (the fan was fluctuating and acting weird). When I called the dealer, the gentleman explained that the part arrived last week and wasn't sure why no one had contacted us. The manufacturer did their part promptly, but the dealer didn't.

Comments: I replaced a large old Sierra insert with the Clydesdale and have been very happy. There is always a learning curve when buying a new, high efficiency, stove. It heats up a little slower than the old stove, but gives off more heat, burns longer and uses less wood. The old firebox was enormous and I am glad that I purchased the largest that I could with the modern inserts. I have heard too many times, "The only thing I would change is, I would have bought a stove with a larger firebox". It is nice to be able to fit more wood so that you have plenty of hot coals in the morning instead of having to starting a fire from scratch. The variable speed blower is GREAT. Much better than only having a choice of 2 or 3 speeds.
