Beautiful stove- love to look at it and watch the burn. Glass stays clean, heats really well for such a small firebox (1.6 cu ft). Convective and radiant heat combine for super warmth. Cooking on the top is easy in a power outage.
2 winters down with this in a ranch home; learning how to properly load and use this stove took us some time. After 1st winter (bought because it was one of the very few that would fit in our existing fireplace), we knocked out a huge portion of a wall so the heat could move and not get stuck in the closed-in stove room/kitchen. That area was like 100+ degrees with windows open and the rest of the house was cold. Also installed an insulated duct with fan in the attic- one vent above the stove and the other vent at the end of the long hall where bedrooms and bath are located behind the stove. Using 2 ceiling fans on low in winter mode and no more need for space heaters or any other zone heating. Don't even need the blower and as an added benefit to the changes we made, the stove room is quite comfortable now as the heat can travel easily out of the stove room. It was lost space until we made the changes.
