It is absolutely beautiful , extremely simple to use, holds and dissipates heat long after the fires out. Large glass door with great fire viewing. No Catalyst to worry about.
Air inlet won't close off completely , a little slower to heat up . Needs wall and harth heat protection
We use this to do 90 of our heating ,we live in mid Michigan where it can get below zero . One other dealer insisted that I go with the larger Heritage so glad I didn't ! I was replacing a leaking older stove so I had to work with the clearance I had . The Castleton just fit with wall protection and a double wall chminy connector .My house is a ranch style home that's well insolated but with some old Leakey Windows in the living room with tthe stove and the stove is located in the center .It keeps the house at a nice 75 degrees. Don't like that I can't close off the draft completely . If I fill it and it's cold outside with lots of draft I can't slow it down to make it last longer and it gets hotter than I want .I called the dealer he said there is no way to close off completely and due to EPA there won't be .I found that if I don't put too much wood in it and don't let it get going too quickly it's better but I now I could get a longer burn with less air . Might just have to clean the chminy more .
