Comments: Just got it installed in time for the Nov-Feb winter here in Northern California. After spending over 1K on a monthly heating bill (all-electric house), the fire is easy to maintain and one decent sized log can last close to 2 hours. I was able to do the break-in with small fires and was pleasantly surprised to have coals ready to use to start over in the morning.
I tried the 2 blower settings and the "low" setting was very adequate to heat the 1000 sq ft. of the living/dining/kitchen areas. I tried the high setting for a bit (with only 1/2 of the firebox loaded with smaller splits of hardwood -oak and started sweating! )

After fearing the electric bill for heating, I believe that I can make it manageable with htis hearth heater!
