After 5 seasons, stove has been nearly problem free. There's a learning curve in adjusting air controller, placement of wood and maintaining desired amount of heat. Stove looks good, even in summer, the big window is like an open fireplace and maintenance is minimal. Clean glass daily and empty ashes twice a week. We installed an insulated stainless liner and get about a quart of ash in annual chimney sweep. I use an inside the house brush system purchased online. Dirty but relatively easy, cover the open door with plastic and connect brush poles to a power drill.
My only complaint is with the distributor/seller and manufacturer in obtaining a worn out latch bushing. The maker wanted $100 or so for a latch assembly and seller said it was a local part. Wrong. I spent hours on the net to find cheap bushings .
Satisfied with the product but my limited , though necessary, contact with customer service was poor.
