Nice clean chimney.
Excessive coaling. Fire burns at first then turns to huge piles of dead coals. Manufactures advertising claims are impossible. There is no way 80 lbs of wood would ever fit. And no way it will burn for 30 hours. 50 lbs of wood is a reasonable fit. Which would give 50lbs X 8000BTU /pound = 400,000 BTU load. So 40,000 BTU for 10 hours is reasonable. But also have to multiply that by about 75% efficiency. Air control is poor. It's basically on or off. Ash dumper box is way too small. The catalytic unit self destructed almost immediately. It burnt a hole in the center of it's self and the sides never became active. I could go on further. The dealer tried to blame me for all the problems. When that didn't work out. They tried to blame a bad chimney installation. Until I reminded them they installed that as well. They actually did an excellent job with the chimney.
I took it to the welding shop cut it in half did some fixing and now it works much better. I improved the air lower flow to burn the coals. Put 2 small baffles in the top to direct the exhaust air. And some other complicated to describe adjustments for better burning. Made a large ash box.
I would not recommend this stove.
